The Small Business Server provides users with a suite of server applications to maximize server functionality. Small Business Server provides a complete suite of services. These include Microsoft Internet Information Server, a platform for applications for the World Wide Web, and Microsoft SQL Server(tm), a powerful, secure database for business applications.
Small Business Server provides communication services that are comprehensive and easy to use. With Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft Outlook(tm), your employees can communicate with each other and with the rest of the world: through the Internet by using e-mail, Exchange public folders, discussion groups, list services, and scheduling features. Microsoft Fax Service provides for desktop faxing and central management of incoming faxes. The Internet Connection wizard helps you quickly find an Internet Service provider and register your company on the Internet. Microsoft Proxy Server provides fast and secure access to the Internet from individual desktops. Modem Pooling allows you to share modems from a central location and connect to shared modems from individual desktop computers.
The integrated Setup program for Small Business Server installs all components by guiding you through a few simple steps. The Client Installation wizard makes it easy to set up your employee computers for use on the network. The Small Business Server console combines everyday network management tasks in one location and directs you to easy-to-use wizards.
